Daily Curriculum
At Willowbrook Montessori, every day is built around a gentle, predictable rhythm that helps children feel safe, confident and ready to explore. From free play and morning ring to one-on-one Montessori activities, outdoor time and rest, our daily routine balances structure with the freedom to discover at each child's own pace. It's this balance, purposeful learning wrapped in warmth, that makes Willowbrook Montessori a hidden gem for each child.
Here is what a typical day looks like:
Free play (7:30 – 7:45 Breakfast Club)
Morning ring — theme discussion, days of the week, songs, months of the year, numeracy, literacy, opposites, shapes, colours, Afrikaans, etc.
Montessori activities (one-on-one with the directress)
Snack time
Tidy up and story time
Outside free play (extra-murals are conducted during this time on allotted days)
Washing hands and lunch time
Home time for half-day children
Outside of the daily routine, children at Willowbrook also get to enjoy a range of extra murals throughout the week, including swimming, karate, gymnastics, ballet and robotics. Explore the full schedule and see how it adds to their day.
